Maine SuperFood Smoothie

Frozen wild Maine blueberries act as the “ice” in this delicious and nutritious smoothie.

  • 1 cup frozen Maine wild blueberries
  • 1 cup Maine applesauce or apple juice
  • 1 cup yogurt (plain unsweetened is best)
  • 1 cup kale or spinach leaves
  • 2 tablespoons nuts or seeds like almonds, sunflower seeds, walnuts or pistachios


  • Combine all ingredients in the bowl of your blender. Pour into 2 glasses and enjoy!


Nutritional analysis per serving: 234 calories, 8 grams protein, 35 grams carbohydrates, 9 grams fat, 78 mg. sodium, 5.3 grams fiber. Good source of Vitamins A, K, C, and B, calcium, manganese and fiber.
