Tribute to Paul Bocuse: A five-course supper commemorating the cuisine of the late, great French chef
Cooking that respects the sensibilities of the freshest ingredients was the mantra of Paul Bocuse. In 1999, we dined at his elegant Restaurant Paul Bocuse, in Collonges-Sur-Saone, and fell deeply in love with France and her food.
Here at Rabbit Hill, we farm, fish and forage for our ingredients; our days are centered around everything food; fish, clams & lobsters from the waters of Penobscot Bay and shores of Crockett Cove, food and game foraged off the meadows and woods, crops harvested from our certified organic farm, and Blue Hill peninsula fruits.
In this celebratory meal of Paul Bocuse, Flip and Cheryl invite you to enjoy five courses of traditional French cooking inspired by the late summer harvest. Their home, nestled in the tops of spruce trees 80 feet above sea level, offers expansive views of Crockett Cove, Eastern Penobscot Bay, and the celestial sky. Rabbit Hill, an original Emily Muir designed cottage, is a truly a work of nature’s art and the perfect setting for a Maine-grown tribute to the ambassador of French cuisine: Chef Paul Bocuse.

Directions to Rabbit Hill Farm: Take Route 15 onto the island of Deer Isle and proceed to Deer Isle village. As you pass the red house and go down the hill, turn right off Route15 onto Main Street. The Deer Isle Post office and the Pilgrim’s Inn will be on your left. Drive south toward Stonington for 4.2 miles. Turn right onto Barbour Farm Road, a dirt road. Keep left and follow 1 mile to the end and up the hill. Drop-off passenger area and handicap parking only are available on the hill. This is a private road and parking is limited. Please drive slowly, and plan to park and walk.
