Designed for farmers and others interested in home-food processing for resale.
Featured speakers include Dr. Beth Calder, Food Processing Authority for Maine, Ronda Stone, Consumer Protector Inspector for the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry, and Cheryl Wixson, Food Engineer and specialty food manufacturer. Workshop topics include a discussion on food safety, licensing parameters, liability insurance, labelling requirements, good manufacturing practices, and organic certification requirements.
In their 10th year of hosting Kitchen Licensing, Calder, Stone & Wixson have helped over 200 folks bring specialty food products to market.
